A loan of $1,450 helped a member to increase her inventory and to open a new shop.

Tusaidiane Group's story

Pili is 29 years old, and married. She also takes care of another family member in her home. Pili has operated her own small restaurant and has also sold clothing in the local Mikunguni neighborhood for the past four years. She earns a monthly profit of around $175, by working daily for fourteen hours. She is currently requesting a loan to increase her inventory, to expand her store and explore the possibility of opening a new one. She is hoping that through this loan, she can boost her profits and save enough money for future use.

Pili will also share this loan with her fellow group members, Asia, Zukelkha, Zuwena, and Khadija. Each of these women owns their own small business in Zanzibar.
