A loan of $600 helped working capital.

Gertrudis Ramona's story

Ms. Gertrudis Ramona H. M. is 52 years old. She is single and has two sons who are 26 and 23 years old, respectively. For 22 years Ms. Gertrudis has been selling bread in a confectioner's shop, and her goals are to keep healthy and to continue working to keep on supporting her sons. Ms. Gertrudis started this business out of the need to give her children their daily bread since their father abandoned them. For this reason, she decided to take charge of her family by creating a source of income. The Kiva loan is for working capital since she needs to purchase wood, sugar, eggs and yeast.
