A loan helped to purchase a car for her son, who will start a taxi business.

Bakhargiul's story

Bakhargiul is a 51-year-old woman, from Karataklia village. She has her son, daughter-in-law and pensioner mother-in-law in the family. Her salary, however, is not enough to meet the basic needs of her family. With the help of her family members, Bakhargiul is extensively engaged in agribusiness, which is the most important source of her family's income. For more than 20 years, she has been involved in the cultivation of greens. Bakhargul sells the agricultural products in the open market, located in the capital. As it becomes harder to earn a living over time, she wants to increase her family's income in order to more effectively meet their daily costs.

A loan of 4,500 GEL will be a great support to Bakhargiul and her family, enabling her to purchase a car. Her son will start a taxi business with the purchased car and generate significant income.

As a result of the new business initiative, implemented with the assistance of Kiva, the income of the family will increase significantly. Bakhargul and her son will be able to create better living conditions for their family.
