Dienabou Karimou's Group's story

The 'Banc Villageois' was created on 22nd January 2003 and is made up of women who all live in the same village. They all work in retail and are mutually very supportive.

Diénabou (sitting on the far right in the photo with her hand raised) is forty-two years old and represents the group. She is married and has three daughters and four sons. She runs a restaurant business. Her loan will buy four sacks of rice for 39,000 francs CFA, refined oil for 12,500 francs CFA, and coffee and sugar for 70,000 francs CFA. After preparation, she sells her food through her restaurant business.

Diénabou will use her profits to provide for her children's education and increase her savings.
