A loan of $425 helped work materials.

Francisco Javier's story

Francisco started his business after he learned his trade when he left the city for work. He saved part of each of his paychecks to buy tools and equipment at a low price, with the idea of opening his own business someday. This way he could be independent and not have to leave his family behind to find work.

At the end of 2005 he opened his business making doors and aluminum windows. He started by doing projects for his relatives and friends, who in turn recommended his work to other friends, and that’s how he now has a good number of clients.

His business has been growing and he has purchased more equipment in order to complete more sophisticated projects. Also, when he has a lot of orders, he is able to hire other people to help him complete the projects more quickly for his customers.

He is asking for 6,000 pesos which he will pay in 6 months in order to buy materials and continue his business.
