Hormecinda's story

50-year-old Hormecinda is single and has dependents. She lives along with her children in a house that she owns. It is in the Lagunas district of the Lambayeque region on the northern coast of Peru. It is a small community, in which the population mainly works in the raising and selling of animals, agriculture, and commerce.

For over 5 years, she has made her living by selling vegetables in the Nueva Parada Market in Cayalti. She needs the loan to invest in her business, to buy fruits and vegetables to increase her stock. This will give her higher monthly sales and improve her contribution to the family, which will improve her and her family's quality of life.
