A loan helped a member to buy more fish and firewood to smoke fish for customers.


Peace And Unity Group's story

These members are part of Peace and Unity Group, and they are beginning their fifth loan cycle with ID Ghana. The group is made up of six members.

The members’ businesses include selling smoked fish, slippers, dresses, plastic bowls and groceries. The group will need a total amount of 4,600 GHS to better their businesses. This loan will help their small businesses, including Elizabeth A. This is Elizabeth's fifth loan from ID Ghana, after having joined at a friend’s invitation. Elizabeth has a business selling smoked fish and says that she started the business with a little bit of capital on her parents’ recommendation.

Elizabeth will use the money from this loan as working capital to buy more fish and firewood to smoke fish for customers. This work will allow her to generate an income to support her family. She is single mother of one child. When asked what she likes abut ID Ghana, she says that she likes the health care that the institution provides.
