A loan of $775 helped to purchase clothing merchandise and maintain her computers.

Rosa Bertha's story

Rosa Bertha V. P. is 42 years old and lives in the La Rinconada residential zone of the district and province of Trujillo, in the La Libertad region of Peru.

She completed the fifth year of primary school before leaving her studies because she was more inclined to work. She has four children, although only one is still economically dependent on her.

Rosa runs an internet business. She started out selling bread, and with her earnings she was able to start selling clothing, and later expand her business by installing an internet service. This business brings in a lot of income, and she runs it from a rented storefront.

With the first loan of 300 soles that she received from the “Mujeres Decididas II” (Determined Women II) Community Bank she bought clothing for her business.

With this loan of 2500 soles, to be repaid in 4 months, she will invest in more clothing and the maintenance of her computers.

Rosa dreams of owning her own home and car.
