A loan of $250 helped purchase beer and children's clothing to sell; Gladys dreams of running a candy shop and putting up a stand where she can sell clothing.

Gladys Predesvinda's story

Gladys Predesvinda S. D. A. is 51 years old and lives in the Libertad neighborhood in Trujillo, La Libertad, Peru.

She studied physical therapy for a while but had to quit her studies when she got married. She has three daughters who are dependent on her.

She works selling children's clothing; she began her business selling beer and children's clothing and later started a restaurant that she had to close when she got sick. Now she only sells clothing and beer which gives her a good income; she developed her business out of her own home.

With her first loan of $100 that she received from Cielo II (Heaven II) village bank, she invested in the purchase of beer. With this $250 loan which she will repay in 6 months, she will invest in the purchase of beer and children's clothing. Gladys dreams of one day running a candy store and putting up a stand where she can sell clothing.
