A loan of $175 helped to buy feed for her cattle.

Rosio's story

Rosio is a 19-year-old woman who lives at home with her parents. She wants to help her parents with household expenses and also aspires to excel in life and this is why she works hard. Although she is still young, Rosio realizes that to have a better future, she must work diligently. To this end, from a very young age she has undertaken raising cattle, an activity she learned from her parents. Now she has her own cattle that she sells at the Sunday fair in Puno. They are well fed, very large, and they sell quickly.
While it saddens Rosio to sell the cattle she has raised with great care, she knows it is necessary in order to earn the funds she needs to establish a butcher shop in the future. Rosio has been at this business for one year, and what she likes best is to raise the calves that she cares for and nurtures.
This is Rosio’s first loan through MFP and she is committed to paying her installments on time in order to be eligible for future loans to keep improving her business. She knows her communal bank will provide guidance and support because she is a valued customer. With the requested funds she will buy fodder for her cattle and thus they will be better fed.
