A loan of $1,200 helped purchase of "pagnes" for re-sale.

Afi's story

Afi K., 24, is still single and has no children. She has a shop where she sells "pagnes" (lengths of African print cloth) and high-quality fabrics in the big open-air market of Lomé, the Togolese capital. In order to keep track of her sales better, she has bought a small computer on which she keeps her accounts. She has been working in this sector for two years and hopes to expand her business further by buying merchandise for re-sale.
