Alla is a widow. She raises two teenage daughters, 16 and 13, on her own. Alla’s family is from Kahovka, a small town in the south-east of Ukraine. There are very few job opportunities in this region of the country. Alla faced that hard reality two years ago. This is when she decided to launch her own small business selling Avon cosmetics. Alla says this type of business allows her to manage her time and provide for her family as well.

Alla is requesting a loan of 5,000 Grivnas to develop her business and profits as a result. Presently, she has 3,000 in turnover capital. Her monthly net profit amounts to 1,500 Grivnas. Alla does not want to stop where she is. She believes that current financial assistance will be beneficial for her business by keeping it competitive and promoting growth so that it will continue to provide necessary income for her and the family.
