Through a long road divided from the main street live a widow and her family. Mrs. S., 45, lives in a small village in Pursat Province about 192 kilometers from Phnom Penh City. She currently makes a living raising pigs in a stall behind her house, and she has operated this business for more than five years.

S. now has four children; all of them are single. To help a little more to feed their family, two of her children are employed: one is a pig raiser and the other one is a motorcycle taxi driver. Since pig-raising is S.'s main way to earn a living, she would like to ask for a loan as capital to buy additional piglets to raise.
