Mwajuma's story

Mwajuma has sold charcoal and fish in the Mikunguni neighborhood of Zanzibar for 6 years. She currently earns an average monthly profit of $45. Every day she works at her business for 14 hours. She is requesting her second loan from BRAC Tanzania so that she can buy food for her business. She is hopping that through this loan, her profit will increase and she will be able to grow her business and to save money.



Mwajuma is 33 years old, married, and has four children aged 12, 11, 9 and 6. She also cares for two additional dependents.
