A loan of $475 helped to purchase a variety of soft drinks, 1 sack of rice, 1 sack of sugar, flour, and other ingredients necessary to prepare snacks.

Pazzy's story

Pazzy belongs to “Las Brisas” (“Breezes”) Community Bank and lives in the Bellavista district of San Martín. She is 63 years old and the mother of one grown daughter. She lives with her partner, who sells spare parts for cars and motorcycles.

This is Pazzy's third loan. With her first loan, of 300 Peruvian nuevos soles (approximately US $95), she decided to start a business selling soft drinks in the local market. Now, she has a small shop in her home where she sells snacks. The steady income from her shop will enable her to repay her loan on time.

With this loan, of 1,500 nuevos soles (US $475), she will buy a variety of soft drinks, one sack of rice, one sack of sugar, flour, and other ingredients necessary to prepare the snacks that she sells to the workers on her block and other passersby.

Pazzy is very happy with her association with the bank, not only for the new friends she has made but also because it has helped her to realize dreams she has had since her youth.
