A loan of $475 helped to purchase a new display case for her beauty products, as well as various high quality perfumes as her customers are very demanding.

Mónica Maribel's story

Monica is a member of the communal bank called Los Eucapliptos. She lives in the district of Tarapoto in San Martin. She is 36 years old and has a young daughter. Her husband is an engineer and he supports her with the projects she's involved with. With the first loan, Monica invested in beauty products to sell to friends and neighbors. She's received and paid back 3 loans already with the bank.

Today she has two display cases full of beauty products in her home. She sells to friends, well known customers, neighbors, etc. Her business brings her in monthly income which allows her to make timely payments on the loans. With the new loan, which she will repay in 6 months, she will purchase a new display case and various perfumes of high quality, as her clients are quite demanding.

Monica is very grateful to the bank for the support they provide for working women.
