A loan of $2,900 helped a member working capital.

San Expedito Group's story

The 'San Expedito' group is represented by Sandra Luz, and includes a number of members who have worked in previous groups with Fundacion Agrocapital. They united to form a new community bank maD. up of responsible and committed people. In general the members work selling products including food, cosmetics, bread and clothing, and in activities including domestic cleaning services, clothing textile manufacturing, transport services, construction and the elaboration of handicrafts.

There is strong competition in the commercial sphere driven by the supply and demand for products, but the members' experience and capacity to overcome challenges triumphs over any obstacle. The loan will be used to buy basic supplies and materials, as well as to repair work tools in order to offer better service. The group members are familiar with how to work in solidarity groups, and know how to manage funds well and responsibly fulfil their obligations.
