Flor Palmira's story

Mrs. Flor Palmira Alvarez Gomez is 40 years old, is a member of the community bank Jesus of Nazaret which is located in the Agallpampa district of the Otuzco province, in the department La Libertad Peru.
She attended school through the third year of high school, and did not continue studying because she went to work. She married when she was 20 years old and currently has 5 children, 4 of which still depend on their parents for financial support.
Flor has many occupations, one of which is the weaving of bedspreads using synthetic wool yarn. She also buys and sells small animals, alive and as meat.
Her first loan was of 300 soles, repaid in 4 installments, which she used to buy animals.
With this loan of 100 soles, which she will repay in 4 installments, she will buy synthetic wool yarn for the making of bedspreads.
Flor dreams of her children becoming professionals.
