A loan of $100 helped new work tools.

Charito's story

At 22, Charito has been working in the bookbinding business her whole life. She started working at a printing works when she was 18. However, she started working independently only two years ago.

She binds books in bulk for companies, which provide her with all the materials she needs for the task. She just needs to invest in sponges, cloths and rollers, so when she started receiving loans from EDAPROSPO, she was able to use them to cover the household expenses, managing to repay the loans with the profits earned from her job.

All her work is done manually, so she normally works alone. However, when she receives big orders, she sometimes needs help from two or more people.

Charito is separated, but her husband helps her support their two young children. Her wish for the future is to keep her job.
