Karibea Group's story

Happy S., age 35, is single. She has a tailoring business which she started in 2007, and she works daily from 8am until 8:30pm. She is able to earn a monthly profit of around US$ 222.



This will be Happy’s third loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to expand and improve the tailoring business and has repaid the loans successfully. She now hopes for a third loan to further expand the business.



Happy will share this loan with her loan group, Karibea, which totals 16 members. The members of the group hold each other accountable in paying back their loans. In the picture, Happy is second from left, seated, in pink.
