Nkondo Tukwatanise Group's story

Nkondo group is found in Omukagyera, about 15 kilometeres away from Ibanda town. It is comprised mainly of men and women who are involved in small-scale trade and simple agriculture.

Milan is a 48-year-old, widowed mother of three children. Two of her children are in school. Milan deals in agricultural products like selling cereals, mangoes and onions, with a small capital of 200,000=, where she earns income to cater towards her family's basic needs. Her business is displayed along the main road. She has challenges of drought, which affects farmers who supply the products, and competition with other traders. She has applied for a loan of 250,000= to help her add more stock of fruits to her business. She will use the rest of the money to pay school fees for her children.

Milan is an honest and hardworking lady, and if given support she will be in a position to keep her business growing and run the family as well.
