A loan of $600 helped grocery shop.

Hoang Thi's story

Mrs. Hoàng Thị Huyền, 23 years old, lives with her husband and one young child in the town of Lâm, Ý Yên district, Nam Định province. Her husband works as a driver. Before she became a member of the TYM Fund, the financial situation of her family was very difficult because their income depended solely on her husband’s wages. In 2005, she joined the Fund and used a loan to invest in a grocery shop. Today, with an income of 4,000,000 VND (240 USD) per month, her family’s standard of living is steadily improving. In the next lending cycle, Mrs. Huyền hopes to borrow 10,000,000 VND (600 USD) to increase the inventory of her grocery shop.
