Chan S. L., 42, is married and lives with her husband in Bati district, Takeo province. She sells medicines from her home and is able to make $4 per day, while her husband is a rice and vegetable farmer earning about $2 a day. The couple has three children, all of whom are married. Mrs. Chan is requesting a loan of $1,000 to purchase more medicines for resale.
