A loan of $775 helped work capital.

Damaris Del Scorro's story

Damaris del Socorro M. Sánchez, 34, is a single mother of a 5-year-old son, who is in the first grade. She hopes to make her business business grow to support her family and to live a long life to care for her child, and raise him to be a productive man. Damaris would love to open a small grocery store in her home, to be able to care for her son while tending her business. There is no other store in the area, so opening one would be a good business move. She believes that she would not have to work two jobs as she does now (as a teacher and selling merchandise on the street).

Damaris' business is the sale of general merchandise. She offers her products to family, friends and neighbors. She started 4 years ago, urged by the need to support her child and help out her mother. She began selling Avon and Oriflame products, and with the help of friends she learned the business and established a customer base.

The loan she is requesting will be used a work capital, to purchase more products to satisfy her customers' demand.
