A loan helped purchase a stock of products to open and operate her grocery.

Dodo's story

Dodo, 42, is married and lives with her husband and two children in Georgia’s Tsalka district. The family farms a hectare of land where they grow potatoes to sell locally at a good price. They also own five cows that produce dairy products to sell.

Dodo wants to open a small grocery and has applied for a 5,000 USD loan through the Start Up program, which is a joint initiative between Kiva and Credo. With the loan she will purchase a stock of products to open and operate her grocery, a venture that will give the family a stable income. She will use the store’s profits to gradually develop the business.
