A loan helped a member to purchase two piglets and to support her egg selling business.

Srikandi 2 Group's story

The Srikandi 2 group can pay off this loan on time. They sell pigs at a good price. Currently, the price for pork is about 21.000 IDR per kg.

Ni Nengah, the treasurer of the group, maintains fattened pigs. She has sold all of her pigs. She gains a profit 2.000.000 IDR for all of them. She’s really grateful for that. She has a plan to use the profit to renovate her kitchen and for her savings. During her last loan, she had no problems. All the pigs grew well. She’s said thank you to lenders, Kiva and MUK for supporting her business.

To increase the business, the Srikandi 2 group continues to borrow from MUK. They are comfortable with the loans, because they also have been trained by the MUK staff.

Ni Nengah is a housewife, her husband works as a farmer in his own land.

After success with the last loan, Ni Nengah will borrow again to purchase 2 superior piglets for fattening pig. She will also use the loan to support her egg selling business. All the profit from this business will be saved. She hopes the business will grow and that she becomes a successful pig breeder.

One member resigned from the group and she was replaced by a new member.
