Francisca is a member of The Cypresses (Los Cipreses) Village Bank. She is from Apurimac and is 56 years old. She has four children (24, 22, 20, and 14 years old); the oldest children study and work and the youngest child is still in high school.

Francisca only was able to study through elementary school due to the financial situation of her family, but she has been able to progress in life nonetheless; she knows numbers and basic math but does not know how to read or write correctly.

She is separated from her husband, but she still receives some child support from him. She sells clothing from her home and delivers it to her customers; she also sells beauty products from catalogues. A short time ago, a friend contacted her about an opportunity exporting weaved earrings; for Francisca it is another source of income and she feels very content with it.

Since she became involved in Finca, she has received support through loans that have helped her capital to grow; she also learned how to invest as she has received training from her promoter each time that she meets with the Village Bank.

Francisca needs a $325 loan to purchase clothing and to cover the sales cost of the beauty products. Francisca's dream is to eventually put up a small general/grocery store in her home.
