A loan of $1,000 helped selling roasted duck and raising pigs.

Choun's story

Choun L., 45, lives in Kampong Cham, Cambodia. She is the mother of two children. L. sells roasted duck at the local market. Her business typically generates about US$ 5.50 in revenue per day. Two of her children are students and sometime help her in selling. Her husband, pictured here, stays at home raising pigs and is able to make US$ 2 each day. Choun L. hopes to use this loan to expand her husband's livestock by adding more pigs. The rest is to be used to increase the number of roasted ducks for sale.
