A loan helped to buy timber.

Bourama's story

Bourama is 52 years old, married with two wives, and is a father of 13 children. He has a polygamous marriage status and lives with his family alone in Koutiala, an area in Sincina. For more than 11 years, he has worked buying, storing, and selling timber in Koutiala. This work has earned him a good living. He has a good reputation, because he receives many customers.

In order to satisfy his customers and to expand his business, Bourama joined the micro-finance institution Soro Yirwaso. This is his second individual loan. This loan will be used to buy timber. He procures the timber in Koutiala and surrounds. Sales are made in Koutiala to mostly male customers for cash.

By expanding his business, he hopes to earn a monthly profit of 300,000 francs CFA, which will be used to pay back his loan's interest and meet his family's needs. He will reinvest the rest in his business.

He counts on financing from Soro Yirwaso to expand his business in the future.
