A loan helped to buy used shoes to resell.

Shefikat's story

Shefikat is an Egyptian Albanian lady and a divorced mother of one; she lives in the city of Elbasan where most of her community lives. Under the Communist regime, members of this community were discriminated against. They lived very poorly, with some of them in the basements of apartment buildings and some in shacks, and unfortunately lacked basics such as nutrition and sanitation. Over the past 20-something years, their lives have improved somehow.

Shefikat started to buy and sell used shoes about five years ago in an attempt to secure food because the $130/month that she was receiving as government assistance was not enough. She is requesting this loan from you in order to stock up on shoes to resell.
