Jardin De Rosas Group
In this Group: Nelcy, Zulema Delia, Beatriz Rocio, Herminia, Alejandra, Teresa Manuela, Antonio, Emiliana Eduarda, Eudacia, Lourdes, Monica Blanca, Genoveva, Mery
The "Rose Garden" group is in its first cycle represented by Nelcy, who lives in the same neighborhood in the city of El Alto as her fellow group members. They sell clothes, shoes, and handcrafted blankets at fairs around the city. Competition in the garment business is very strong because of the importing of clothing from other countries, therefore the members require high quality materials to compete in the marketplace. They need financing from Foundation Agrocapital to make high quality products and thus improve their incomes and give their families a better quality of life. The members have prior experience in supportive groups, as they have participated in other groups within the Foundation; they know the type of work and the time it takes to be a well-formed group.

Additional Information

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
