A loan helped a member to buy a refrigerator for selling soda and natural juices, and also to buy clothes, underwear and other miscellaneous products for resale.

Mujeres Virtuosas 4 Group's story

Ramona is one of the members of the “Mujeres Virtuosas (Virtuous Women) 4" Group, located in the town of Hato Mayor, whose economy depends on farming. Their principal economic activities are the sale of food, grocery stores, miscellaneous sales and clothing.

Ramona is a single mother of four children. She tells us that her most difficult challenge is to finish building her home. Her favorite activity is to walk and to watch television.

Ramona is very moved by receiving her second loan from Esperanza Internacional, after having paid off her previous loan satisfactorily and thereby having taken a step towards the growth of her business. She has had her business for around ten years. She set up her business with her savings. She became successful through her own initiative for creating income and being useful.

She is planning to invest her new loan in the purchase a refrigerator to start selling soda and natural juices in a small cafeteria she recently opened. She also will invest in her main business, which is miscellaneous products sales, like clothes, underwear and jewels.

She plans to use her profits to save because she is planning to finish building her house, which is one of her short-term dreams: to live in a comfortable house and to provide her children with everything they need. She thanks you all for your support!!
