Chear K., 37 years old and married with one child, lives with his wife in Prey Chor District, Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia, where he typically earns $9 per day working at the local market as a butcher. His wife works as vegetable seller at the same place and contributes all of her wages to the household. Their child is a student at the nearby school. This couple hopes to use part of the loan to purchase a cow to expand the butcher business.
