Yin's story

Mrs. Chanthy, 28, is a tailor in Samky village in Kandal Province, Cambodia. She is married to Mr. Mach and has two young teenagers. Her husband, 34, repairs cars and earns around $10 per day. Mrs. Chanthy buys clothes from villagers in her area to sell, and also sews clothes to sell. Her business is going well, and she earns around $3 per day.


Due to the increasing cost of transportation, Chanthy is requesting a loan to purchase a motorcycle for the family's use, and for capital to purchase more clothes for her business, and to. She said the loan will help to increase her family's income, and make it easier for her husband to go to work and take her children to school.
