Chab K. is 54 years old and lives in Phnom Penh with her husband and their 5 children. Her husband is a construction worker and earns $3 per day. Two of her children are mechanics, and together they make $100 per month. One of her daughters is a garment factory worker and earns $50 per month. Chab K. grows and sells vegetables at the market, and she will use this loan to buy 1 hectare of land in order to grow more crops. As her income grows, she plans on buying more land and eventually upgrade her home so that it will be comfortable for her family to live in.
