A loan of $325 helped to buy panettones for the season.

Luisa's story

Luisa is 44 years old and lives with her two children in her own home. For the past 12 years she has sold seasonal articles such as: during the school year, school supplies; for Mother's day, roses and gifts; for national holidays, flags and rosettes; and now during the Christmas season she sell nativity scenes from door to door. She sells on credit to trustworthy customers, and thus makes enough money to continue. Louisa works every day walking around. She prefers selling her goods in the morning and usually cares for her children at home in the afternoon. She also raises pigs at home, feeding them then selling them and thus making additional income. This is Luisa's fifth loan with MFP and she has shown herself to be punctual in her payments. She is also an active participant of her community bank, as she is on the board of the community bank. She will use the loan monies to buy panettones (traditional year-end desserts), each case of 8 panettones costs 80 soles. She will buy 10 cases. The remainder of the loan amount will be saved for capital for future merchandise.
