A loan helped to buy a plot of farmland for growing rice.

Mok's story

Mok, 35, is a married man who lives in the small community of Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia. He has three children who are currently in school. To make a living and support his family, he manages and operates a farming business on a small farmland which is located near his house. On his farmland, he grows rice and sells his agricultural product to the local dealers. On average, he can generate an earning of USD 2 per day.

The current farmland that he owns is small and it can provide less benefit to him. He wants to enlarge his farmland area but he can’t without money. Therefore, now he would like to get a Kiva loan to buy a plot of farmland for growing rice. He hopes this additional farmland will help to improve his living conditions.

He is thankful to all the lenders for their financial support.
