A loan of $875 helped dry goods.

Hoang Thi's story

Mrs. Hoàng Thị Khoái, 51 years old, has participated in the TYM Fund since 1995. When she first joined, she only borrowed money to invest in raising animals, but in 1998 she boldly took a loan to invest in a new business selling dry goods. During her 13 years of membership in the Fund, the financial situation of her family has steadily improved. In 2007, she opened another shop on the same model in order to provide a livelihood for her son. Currently, the total family income is 5,000,000 VND (292 USD) per month. In the next lending cycle, Mrs. Khoái hopes to borrow 15,000,000 (875 USD) to buy dry goods and other foodstuffs that will meet the needs of local residents during the lunar new year holiday.
