A loan of $775 helped buy meat, fruit, soda pop and other items to stock her business.

Bemilda Esperanza's story

Bemilda is 60 years old and sells in a kiosk located in the Roberto Huembes market which is frequented by many Nicaraguans because everything a customer could want is sold there, inexpensive items, pretty items, and much more. She has had the business for 16 years. She lives in north Waspan, is happily married with 4 grown children, her husband is retired and receives a monthly pension. She began with the money that her husband gave her, and this, her second loan from AFODENIC, will be invested in buy inventory for her kiosk such as: meats, vegetables and fruits to prepare her delicious meals, soda pop, candy and other items to offer her customers variety. Her short term plans are to expand to offer better conditions and service to her customers and obtain greater income.
