Alice's story

Alice A. is thirty-seven years old. She is married with two children, both girls. Both of her children are currently in junior high school. Alice says her husband is a farmer. He cultivates crops such as oranges and palm nuts in the community in which they live. She is an entrepreneur. She sells provisions such as milk, sugar, bread, and vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers, onions, etc.

Alice sells on a tabletop in front of her house. She has been in business for over fifteen years. Alice says she buys her goods from Kumasi and at times, from the wholesalers in her community. It is her dream to expand her business by acquiring a store to sell out of. She wants a loan to procure goods in bulk from the big cities where the cost is economical.
