A loan helped a member to purchase a freezer in order to keep her meat products fresh.

Pa,pala Group's story

Maria lives with her 9 children in a humble home which she built with great effort with her husband, who is now deceased. She is a hardworking woman who fights to move her children forward with their education. For more than a year, Maria has made a living by selling meat, chicken, and fish in communities far from the river.

This is her second loan and she would like to purchase a freezer in order to keep her meat products fresh. There is no running potable water in the community, so residents drink water from the river. There are also no health centers; the closest health center is three hours away by motor boat.

She mentions that she is fortunate to receive loans from VisionFund because she has been able to grow her business and provide more products to her customers.
