The communal bank “1 de mayo” [1st of May] is in its ninth women’s communal bank program cycle. They are women who fight for their families and loved ones, and with that they want to grow. They are from a rural area that is still growing.

Sonia, one of the members of this group, works raising and selling animals. She herself is in charge of raising the animals and later sells or slaughters them. She is a very hardworking and determined person who helps her family through this humble work.
