Tashbubu's story

Since olden times in Central Asia, carpet-making has been a famous activity. Production of carpets was considered to be the prestige profession and brought large income to workmen. Though nowadays when the market is filled with machine-made carpets, people still think that each house should have a handmade carpet.

Tashbubu, from childhood, sitting near her mother and grandmother saw how the carpets were woven. With time, it became her main profession. Nowadays everybody knows Tashbubu as an experienced master of her work. As her husband and her son are in Russia and there was a lack of money in the family, Tashbubu began to look for a source of funding of her activity and came to MicroInvest.

She received her first loan in the amount of $150, and she bought fleece and dye for her products and increase the amount of production. Her daughter and daughter-in-law help her in their business. Step-by-step, expanding her business, she bought mechanical equipment for fleece processing. The last loan, in the amount of $150, she fully spent for the purchase of raw material – fleece. With the new loan she wants to buy a new machine for weaving that will allow her to double the number of carpets produced.
