A loan of $400 helped purchase fertilizer for his crops.

Mingo's story

Mingo is 26 years old, single and lives with his parents. He learned to be a farmer as a young child, and now he has paid his expenses for more than 4 years with this kind of work. Since then he has learned not only to improve his sown fields but also to mature and think of growing through the opportunity of being a retailer. He takes his products to the cities with the most trade, above all to the capital. This makes it more profitable for him, even though he has to continue sacrificing sleep and sun exposure to fertilize his land. These are the most difficult activities to perform. This is Mingo's seventh loan with MFP (Microfinanzas Prisma) and he has not had any payment problems to this date. This demonstrates his responsibility to the institution and his group. He will use what he has requested to purchase fertilizer, which is very expensive but necessary for all of his crops.
