Rosario's story

Rosario S. S. is 36 years old and is a member of "Las Emprendedoras II" (The Entrepreneurs II) communal bank. She lives in Asentamiento Humano (legalized squatter settlement) Luis Alberto S. Mz D lote 1 of Maritime Port in Salaverry, in the province of Trujillo, department of La Libertad Perú.

She finished high school but did not continue studying because her parents owned a ship. She traveled with them since her parents did not know anywhere or anyone they could leave her with. They took her from port to port until she was married when she was 28 years old. Now she has two small children.

Rosario has a grocery store, but she did not lose the custom that she inherited from her parents. She repairs and makes fishing nets at home. With her first loan of 300 soles that she repaid in four installments, she invested in setting up her grocery store. With this loan of 500 soles to be repaid in four installments, she will invest in supplying her grocery store. Rosario dreams of owning a very big and well-stocked store.
