A loan helped to buy fertilizer, seeds to grow organic watermelons, tomatoes, and plastic for a greenhouse.

Ainagul's story

Ainagul successfully paid off her previous loan, and used it for its intended purpose. She is grateful to Kiva and to everyone who helped her financially. Ainagul now owns 3 cows and 10 sheep and on her plot of land, which measures 2.0 hectares, she raises organic watermelons, tomatoes, and peppers. Her annual income from her agricultural endeavors is about 30,000 KGS. She turned to the bank "Bai-Tushum" for a loan of 120,000 KGS to purchase fertilizer, melon, and tomato seeds, and plastic for a greenhouse. With the income from the loan, Ainagul plans to invest in increasing the size of her herd and also plans to save towards building a stable for her cattle.
