A loan helped to buy footwear to sell.

Maritza Beatriz's story

Maritza lives with her parents and a brother who is studying for a high school degree in the "distance Baccalaureate" program (weekend study). She has a sales post where she sells sandals, flip flops, and other products. She worked in a supermarket for 2 years, but she was let go when the company downsized, and with the benefits paid she started her own business. She's had the business for a year, and so she already has a lot of experience, which helps her to avoid problems with the business.

Maritza will use this loan to buy sandals and flip flops for men and women, stocking up her business with the merchandise that her customers need for the Christmas season. She thinks that her sales and earnings will increase, and so she will be able to pay off her debt and continue contributing to the family's expenses.

Maritza's dreams are to add new products to her business, obtain a sales stall in the market in her town, and build her own house.
