Lachicocana Group's story

The members of Lachicocana Group are thirteen Mexican farmers who have decided to install Small Solar Home Systems (SSHS) in their houses without traditional electricity service. Funding is asked for financing those SSHS, which will be paid back with the monthly fee that these men pay for maintenance services during the first year of operation.

Carmela, standing third from the right, is an old farmer who has for the first time a basic electricity service, with four additional hours of electrical lighting provided by the three lamps of the SSHS, as well as connection to small appliances.
