A loan of $375 helped buy tools such as a welder for his automotive shop.

Juan Francisco's story

Juan is 32 years old, living in the Paraisito neighborhood in the capital of Managua. He is married; his wife works for the Zona Franca ** His plan for his family is to finish construction on his house. Juan runs his small auto repair and paint shop with 10 years of experience in automotive work, and one year of working independently. He started as a painting assistant, and now he has his own business. His goal for his business is to increase his volume of production by having better tools and offering a quality service to his customers. Thanks to the loan from Kiva partner Afodenic, he will be able to buy tools such as a welder, a roof (for his business), and other tools that will allow him to generate more profits at work and, each day, offer his customers a better quality of service. Therefore, he will be able to gain more customers to have better income.
