Muong Phang 14 Group's story

Tien, 32, is from a Thai ethnic group and lives with her husband's family in an old Thai traditional house. She has two daughters 7 and 13 years old and they both attend school fully. Tien works very hard at agricultural production to support the crowded family with plenty of activities such as cultivating rice and raising fish, pigs, chickens and musk ducks. She has taken out a loan from the Anh Chi Em Program to buy young fish to increase production and improve income for the family. She hopes that with the financial and technical support of the Program, her investment will be prosperous and she could overcome the difficulties ahead.

Tien dreams her family will have a more stable life and her children will study in good colleges, then get good jobs and change the current circumstance to a brighter future. In the picture, she wears a Thai ethnic traditional costume and stands at the first from the right.
